The game begins with the player character, who is a young Pokemon trainer from the small town of Twinleaf, setting out on a journey to become the champion of the Sinnoh region. The story of Pokemon Platinum is set in the Sinnoh region, a vast area full of diverse landscapes, including forests, mountains, and bodies of water.
Pokemon Platinum also introduces the Distortion World, a mysterious alternate dimension that players can explore and new legendary Pokemon, including Giratina, which serves as the game’s primary antagonist. The ultimate goal is to become the champion of the Pokemon League by defeating the Elite Four and the region’s champion. In the game, players control a Pokemon trainer who travels through the Sinnoh region to capture and train different Pokemon creatures, and compete in battles with other trainers.
